O.K. Fulton Memorial Athletic Scholarship
A much beloved staple in the Agua Fria Union High School District since the district's beginning in 1959, O.K. Fulton began as a teacher and basketball coach, followed by athletic administrator, assistant principal and then principal. After retirement he went on to serve on the AFUHS governing board from 1996 to 2012. In addition he served as the ‘Voice of the Owls’ announcing Agua Fria High School football games for 55 years. The Agua Fria gymnasium is named in his honor. According to O.K., his passion for teaching and his love of young people allowed him a long career in which he never worked a day in his life. The O.K. Fulton Memorial Athletic Scholarship was established in February 2020, with all donations received in his name awarded as scholarships to the district’s athletic programs as needed.
